Home PageHello and welcome to the Wiki pages for the Moving Forward project at Glasgow Caledonian University. We hope that this space will become a useful and welcoming environment to create a Community of Practice (CoP) for sharing experiences, ideas and examples of practice. Wiki's provide a simple means of collecting and organising knowledge within a 'community', such that it becomes a working resource for that community. For the Moving Forward project, this community consists of the staff and students of Glasgow Caledonian University. Editing the wiki should be straightforward - see the link top right on every page! The editing interface is simple (and possibly confusing at first), but you can use the buttons above the editing box to add formatting, and there is some quick-reference information underneath the editing box and the amount of formatting we will need to do should be minimal - just try and familiarise yourself with a few things. For instance:
Within a wiki, the emphasis is on collecting and organising knowledge, rather than on making things look pretty. If you add resources to this wiki, do not worry too much about formatting, but do try to structure the information you are adding logically. Also, think of the wiki as a group resource, be prepared for others to come along and amend your work, and if you don't want this to happen, leave a note making this clear.
